Our software is 100% safe and digitally signed. When downloading or installing BB Docs, you may see security warnings from Windows SmartScreen or your browser. This is completely normal for newly released software.
Google Chrome: If you see "file is not commonly downloaded" → Click the ↑ arrow → Select "Keep"
Microsoft Edge: Click "Keep" or "..." → "Keep anyway"
Firefox: Click "Allow download" if prompted
If you see "Windows protected your PC":
Verify our signature: Right-click the installer → Properties → Digital Signatures tab → Look for "BinaryBridge Inc."
Before installing BB Docs, ensure your system meets these requirements:
Follow these steps to install BB Docs:
1 Download the installer from the BinaryBridge Client Portal
2 Run the installer (PDFStudio_Setup.exe)
3 Follow the installation wizard to complete setup
4 Launch BB Docs from the Start menu or desktop shortcut
When you first launch BB Docs, you'll be prompted to activate your license. Enter your license key from the Client Portal to unlock all features.
BB Docs features a clean, modern interface organized into several key areas:
The title bar displays the application name, document title, and quick access buttons for Undo, Redo, and Print.
The ribbon is organized into tabs for easy access to features:
The left side panel contains categorized tools:
Create and apply digital signatures
Highlights, underlines, text notes, freehand
Add and edit text content
Rectangles, circles, lines, arrows
Whiteout and redact & replace
The right side panel shows properties for the selected tool including stroke color, width, opacity, and document information.
The left panel can also display page thumbnails for quick navigation. Click any thumbnail to jump to that page.
The bottom status bar shows the current zoom level, page number, file size, and page dimensions.
There are several ways to open a PDF file:
BB Docs now supports opening multiple documents in tabs:
Compare two documents side by side:
1 Open at least two PDF documents
2 Go to View → Split View or click the split view button
3 The first two documents will display side by side
4 Click the X on either pane to exit split view

BB Docs supports touch screens and stylus input:
Highlight text to emphasize important content:
1 Select the Highlight tool from the annotation toolbar
2 Choose a color from the properties panel
3 Click and drag over the area you want to highlight
4 Release to apply the highlight
Similar to highlighting, select the underline or strikethrough tool and drag over text to apply the markup.
Add comments and notes to your PDF:
1 Select the Text tool
2 Click on the location where you want to add the note
3 Type your comment in the text box
4 Click outside to finalize
Draw freely on your PDF using the draw tool:
BB Docs offers multiple ways to create signatures:
1 Select the Signature tool
2 Click on the document where you want to sign
3 In the signature dialog, draw your signature with mouse or stylus
4 Click Apply to place the signature
1 Select the Signature tool
2 Choose Type in the signature dialog
3 Enter your name
4 Select a font style (script, formal, casual)
5 Click Apply
For legally binding digital signatures:
1 Go to Tools → Digital Sign
2 Browse and select your certificate file (.pfx or .p12)
3 Enter the certificate password
4 Add signing reason and location (optional)
5 Choose whether to show a visible signature
6 Click Sign PDF
1 Go to Tools → OCR Selection or select the OCR tool
2 Click and drag to draw a rectangle around the text you want to extract
3 Release the mouse button
4 The extracted text will appear in a dialog
5 Click Copy to copy to clipboard or Insert as Text to add to document
Cover content with a white rectangle:
1 Select Whiteout from the Home ribbon
2 Click and drag over the content to cover
3 A white rectangle will cover the area
Cover content and add replacement text in one step:
1 Select Redact & Replace (or press R)
2 Click and drag over the content to redact
3 In the popup dialog, enter replacement text
4 Choose font, size, and color for the replacement text
5 Click Apply
To add new text to your PDF:
1 Select the Text tool
2 Click where you want to add text
3 Type your content
4 Use the properties panel to adjust font, size, and color

Insert shapes to highlight areas or create diagrams:
1 Go to Insert → Image or use the image tool
2 Browse and select an image file (PNG, JPG, BMP, GIF)
3 Click on the document to place the image
4 Resize by dragging the corner handles
5 Drag to reposition as needed
BB Docs automatically detects interactive form fields. When you open a PDF form:
Use Tab to move to the next field and Shift + Tab to move to the previous field.
To rotate pages:
1 Go to Page tab → Rotate Left or Rotate Right
2 The current page will rotate 90 degrees
Move pages within the document:
1 Go to Page → Delete Page
2 Confirm deletion
Save selected pages as a new PDF:
1 Go to Page → Extract Pages
2 Specify page range
3 Choose destination and filename
Combine multiple PDFs into one:
1 Go to Page → Merge PDFs
2 Add files using Add Files button
3 Arrange order using up/down arrows
4 Click Merge and save
1 Go to Tools → Compress PDF
2 View the current file size
3 Choose compression level:
4 Select options:
5 Click Compress
1 Go to Insert → Watermark
2 Enter watermark text (e.g., "CONFIDENTIAL", "DRAFT")
3 Configure appearance: font, size, color, opacity, rotation
4 Choose pages to apply
5 Click Apply
Apply pre-made stamps to your document:
1 Go to Insert → Stamp
2 Choose from built-in stamps (APPROVED, DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL, etc.)
3 Click on the document to place the stamp
Protect your PDF with a password:
1 Go to Tools → Protect PDF
2 Enable Require password to open document
3 Enter and confirm your password
4 Click Protect PDF and save
Control what users can do with your PDF:
1 In the Protect PDF dialog, enable Restrict document permissions
2 Set a permissions password
3 Choose which actions to allow:

Flatten annotations to merge them permanently into the PDF:
1 Go to File → Save As Flattened
2 Choose filename and location

Export PDF pages as image files:

4 Select output folder
5 Click Export

BB Docs Cloud is a full PDF editor that runs entirely in your browser — no installation needed. Works on any device (desktop, tablet, mobile) with a modern browser.

BB Docs Cloud supports English and Arabic with full RTL support. Switch languages using the language icon on the dashboard, or navigate directly to bbdocs.binarybridge.ca/ar/ for Arabic.
After signing in, the dashboard displays all your documents stored in your cloud account.
1 Click the "Upload" button on the dashboard
2 Select a PDF file from your device
3 Wait for the upload to complete — the document will appear in your list
4 Click on the document to open it in the editor
Click "New Document" to create a blank PDF, or choose from available templates (Pro plan and above).
When you open a document, the editor appears with a toolbar at the top and a page strip on the side.
Click the Select tool (arrow) to select existing elements and move, resize, or delete them.

Similar to the Text tool but with a visible border/background. Ideal for adding clearly defined notes or callouts.
Click and drag to highlight areas with a semi-transparent color. Choose the color from the properties bar.
Draw freely with mouse or stylus. Great for quick signatures, annotations, or handwritten notes. Adjustable color and stroke width.
All shapes support color and stroke width customization.

3 The image is placed on the page — click and drag to move or resize
The Blackout tool covers content with a solid black rectangle. Use it to hide sensitive information before sharing.
Click the Eraser tool, then click on any element you've added to delete it. Only works on added elements — cannot erase original PDF content.
Use the ↶ Undo and ↷ Redo buttons in the toolbar to reverse or reapply any action.

The Initials tool works like the Signature tool but is designed for initials. Great for signing multiple pages.

When you finish editing, click the "Done" button to open the save and share panel:
Downloads the edited document as a PDF file to your device with all edits baked in.

All your documents are stored securely in the cloud. Here are the storage limits per plan:

You can monitor your storage usage from the dashboard. To free up space, delete documents you no longer need or download them first.
The AI Assistant is available in both the dashboard and the editor. Click the "✨ AI Assistant" button to open the AI panel.

The count resets daily. Each quick action or chat message counts as one message.
To upgrade: visit the pricing page or go to Settings in the dashboard. When you try to use a feature not available on your plan, an upgrade prompt will appear automatically.
